Traditionally, Draconic Savant has a long, storied history with optional fire. Xhul’horac takes that history and spins it around and makes it mandatory fire, and I have to admit I find it a bit unsettling. Also, there’s just so much of it, and none of it is fire-coloured! It’s fine though—after a few 1% wipes (those are the worst), and a lot of staring at the ground watching random ranged and healers run a millimeter closer to my void-dudes than I was at the very last second, Xhul’horac went down, making us now 10/13 heroic. Woo!
One of the core—if unspoken—tenets of most raiding guilds is that if your guild/raid leader has gotten annoyed at raid members for doing/not doing a certain thing, it is inevitable that they will do/not do that certain thing at a hilariously inconvenient time. Tonight was Naha’s shining moment as—about three seconds after pulling—he realized that all his gear was broken. We could probably have killed it that attempt but he managed to get Martei killed before repairing mid-fight, so we actually killed it an attempt or two later. Still, it’s dead and we got to make fun of Naha—huge gains all ’round!
I am grossly out of practice with keeping up on the main page, it seems. I keep forgetting to have us line up all nice and neat (or more typically, all rebellious and messy) when we kill something so I can update the main page. Let’s see… two weeks ago we killed Komrok, High Council, and Gorefiend on Heroic. Last week we killed Shadow-Lord Iskar, and today we killed Socrethar. Again. Or for the first time. But again. You know, setbacks and whatnot.
This time I remembered that I needed to update the main page and told everybody to line up for the screenshot but instead of herding cats I just assumed they’d magically see my not-in-any-way-easily-visible transmog in the pile of toy box shenanigans and the whole raid decides to stand on the other side of the boss. And, because I’m such an obstinate jackass, that’s the screenshot I decided to use for the update.
(I’m not heartless, though. You can have a “real” one too.)
Anyway! Time and progression keeps marching onward. If you’d like to join us (and maybe even help us get back into mythic content more quickly), we’re recruiting! You can find both our recruitment needs and our application template on the Recruitment section of our forums.
